Frequently Asked Questions
I have started to list some of the frequently asked questions related to simulation methods
Q: Why do I need to use simulation?
A: The short answer is - you don't! However, if you want to design
better products more efficiently, in a shorter timeframe and for
less money, then you should consider using simulation. On the other
hand, if you want to design products which are heavier, less
reliable, cost more to make and cost more than your competitors
products, then carry on using your traditional approach to product
design, development prototype, redesign and finally sell. The money
you save by not investing in simulation you can instead invest in a
larger product support and recall centre because you will need it!
Q: How can simulation help me?
A: By using simulation, you can resolve design problems and explore
"what if" scenarios much earlier in your product design process
through the use of virtual prototyping. Using simulation techniques
your product can be designed and tested completely using simulation
models, ensuring the design is right before committing to expensive
tooling. You will save money, your customers will be happier.
