Zouch Dynamics Ltd - Bringing Simulation Closer to Reality

VI-Driver

Having an accurate dynamic vehicle model is only any use if it can be driven competently by any driver model. VI-Driver has two modes, VI-DriverD for dynamic vehicle driving, following a given manoeuvre, path and speed profile, robust at the handling limit and fully capable on the roughest of roads. VI-DriverR is the driver model of choice for performing maximum performance driving where you wish to find the true limits of the vehicle through an event or lap of a race track.

VI-DriverD

VI-DriverD is used for all vehicle dynamic events that do not involve dynamic laptime simulations. Select from the library of predefined "standard" vehicle dynamics manoeuvres, or build your own complex manoeuvres using the road builder interface.

VI-DriverR

A combination of static and dynamic solvers are used together to find the true limit of the car:

  • Static solver predicts a speed profile
  • Dynamic solver adapts speed profile to dynamic behaviour of the car

The resultant lap time is a true reflection of the vehicle performance and shows la time differences due to setup changes, making it entirely suitable for quickly optimising a vehicle or race car setup to suit a given road or track event.

Driver example 1

The following movie shows a comparison of the same vehicle being driven with different driver model settings. Note the more aggressive driving style of the Blue car.

Driver example 2

The following movie shows a maximum performance lap of Melborne race track.
